Dream Alaska!

The Photo Prompt today from the Outdoor Blogger Network is to post up our dream destination...Well, I have been to Paradise Island - Bahamas, Hawaii - twice, and have been on a Mexican cruise.  While most people would probably love to travel to some exotic tropical paradise, I tend to wish for the wooded lodge that provides expert guides to take me to the very best salmon fishing...yep, ALASKA!!

What's wrong with this picture?  A bush plane, a nice fish, and a strolling bear!  I'm always for adventure...why lay on a beach somewhere when I can be enjoying wildlife at its finest...

Now, you could say this guy is smiling...but, I'm thinking that he is wondering how close that bear is coming! I'm wondering if Cofisher has always had a gotee...hmmmm  You tell me.

But, hey...there's always a way out.  I think that I will take the plane rather than the helicopter!! : ) How would it be to fly over mountains and glaciers...tundra and grasslands...all on the way to fishing habitats?!!!

                                                                       Awesome!!!

And at the end of the day, after hauling in that salmon, I could just sit back and enjoy the sunset back at the lodge.  Yep, this is exactly where I want to go back someday...Because, well...the first time that I visited Alaska, it was more of a quick-settling experience that I would rather put in the back of my memory... So, here's to my dream destination and doing it up right this time!!  A dream?  Mmmmmm....maybe not.

  4. I gurandamteeya' that if I am fishing that close to Mr. Grizzly that I would have gone into my Fred Sandford mode. "Elizabeth, I am coming to see Ya'. This is the big one."

  7. I'd have to say that I would be a little concerned over a grizzly bear moving in that close. That might affect my concentration some. Looks awesome up there.

  8. I agree, I tend to like the temperate forests as opposed to the sand beaches. So many places to go. Alaska would be amazing!

  9. Phillip ~ You gotta start somewhere!

Mark ~ Yeah, the bear might catch that fish first! (And you would let him have it...)

D Nash ~ Sand just sticks to the bottom of your feet and between your toes. What's so great about that...
