A Fish Is A Fish and A Hit Is A Hit!! Friday Night's Grab Bag

Yes, it is true...A Fish Is A Fish!!  No matter what size, color or species.  Again, I don't know why I have luck sometimes and other times...well...I know...that's why we call it fishing.  Anyway, a little brookie...shall we say, a "Fontinalis Rising", was on the other end of my first cast of the day and had a delicious caddis supper.  I LOVE IT when that happens!! Here's a few "hits" from that crazy, home creek that I like so much!

Ok...He looks a little bigger here...and to Chris Hunt:...I'm shortening the nails tomorrow... : ) A little.
And while we are talking about EatMoreBrookTrout ...check out the interview with Owl Jones!

Then, a nice small stream brown trout came to the net...
I thanked the fisherman who stopped to watch the action and take my pictures for me and I gave him my "money hole" full of fun little trout... It was time to move on.

Now, let's get to the "A Hit Is A Hit!" part of the Friday Night Grab Bag!!

Tonight, we feature two young country stars...alums from American Idol...Season 10...Last year we had Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina in the finals...and their music is at the top of the charts today...Check out what the buzz is in the country music scene!

(Guys...no drooling allowed on this website)  I probably should put Lauren last...oh well.  Enjoy.

  1. If I'd know all it would take is for Chris to tell you, I'd have paid him to tell you a year ago! It would give you more time on the water fishing, that's for sure. ;)

  2. Enjoyed this! So envious of you troutie folks with your streams etc. All I've got here in Southern IL are buggy muggy backwaters and of course the stocked trout programs at some of DNR facilities.. but that's just not the same. Thank heavens some of Missouri's blue ribbon waters aren't too far away :) Wonderful pictures too! T

That same brookie you landed looks just like the one my son-in-law netted last weekend on the Caney Fork in Tennessee. Could there be some connection there???

  4. Owl ~ Read again..."a little", not off! : )

Gretchen ~ You need to plan a trip out West this next year!! Lots to photograph in Yellowstone...they say it would take a year to fish every stream there!

Bill ~ Where there is a will, there is a way...We must have both been thinking "brookie"!
Can't wait to get back out to NC/TN next year...
