In The Kitchen For 2023

As we welcome 2023, there have been thoughts on what to do as a new hobby.  Well, at least for the time being!  2022 ended with me having some lingering injuries with my lower back and knee.  Right now, I'm on day 7 of a left knee replacement.  I'm crossing my fingers that I can get back to work on week 4.  We will see if this pain will subside enough to make that happen.  This has been tougher than I thought it would be.  So, let's find something to do while sitting here for another couple weeks.  What do you think about me starting a food blog?  =)  Baking and cooking have always been a second love behind fishing.  RD's cookies have been a hit everywhere I have gone.

Now for a "catchy" title.  What do you think of "The River Damsel Kitchen"???
I was thinking of making up a totally different name, but a friend told me that I would be better off connecting the two blogs and keeping "The River Damsel" theme...
Maybe they are right.  I've got a week to think about it.  Suggestions are welcome.

Now, if you would please roll that walker over to me?  =)
I have a video that I would like you to watch...

  1. I have three words for you and your baking endeavor. King Arthur Flour. I think I own stock in that company.

  2. RD,
Trout and baked goods. It doesn't get any better.
Good luck with your recovery. It's very early yet, don't get discouraged.
    Excellent video. Thanks for sharing.

    1. It's been awhile since I came over here. So sorry. Thanks for the well wishes. It isn't an easy recovery, but hopefully, I'm halfway there!

  3. I'm glad to know you are on the mend. It will be hard to top 2022; what a fantastic year. Those cookies are to die for; the added calories make them so delicious!!! Thanks for sharing

    1. Bill ~ You are so nice to come over and comment. Yes, 2022 was a fantastic fish year! Hoping that 2024 will be my comeback after this tough year of little fishing.
